“Growing up as a transracial adoptee and later reuniting with my Korean birth family has inspired me to focus on working with families - holding positive healing spaces and building supportive community bonds among parents and children. It takes a village!”

Whitney has been a student of yoga for over a decade, beginning as a practice when she needed to take a break from life’s stressors and slowly learning more about the depth of the practice.

In 2015, Whitney went to Korea to explore her country of origin where she was reunited with her birth family. She later studied Vipassana meditation at Thabarwa Meditation Center in Myanmar and Wat Tam Wua in Thailand. She also began her journey in Thai bodywork at the Sunshine School in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In 2016, she obtained her 200-hour Yoga Alliance teaching certification in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga at Rishikul Yogshala in Rishikesh, India. Since her return to the US, she has become certified in Kids & Family Yoga (Rainbow Yoga and Imagination Yoga) and Yin Yoga (Josh Summers). Drawn towards holistic family health, she studied Prenatal Yoga with Shana Celnicker Chong at the Bhakti Yoga Movement Center and became a certified Postpartum Doula through Cornerstone Doulas.

Whitney passionately believes in the healing power of presence and community. By lifting others up, learning to trust, and building a supportive foundation for others through partner and group yoga, we can take away not only physical, but emotional and mental benefits to apply throughout our lives and relationships.

She has volunteered to teach yoga in Spanish through Living Yoga and is a founding member of the Humans of Color Movement Alliance. Whitney also attended East West College of Healing Arts in Portland and plans to focus her massage practice on prenatal, postpartum, infant and pediatric clients.
